YLF can help you file RTI applications

The Right to Information Act was enacted in order to promote transparency and accountability in the working of every public authority.

Young Lawyers Forum (YLF) Kashmir is a collective of young lawyers and law students from Kashmir that advocates for social justice, in & out of courts. In order to do so, YLF often uses the RTI mechanism to demand transparency and accountability from government authorities and we believe that RTI serves as an important tool in our arsenal to reach the desired goals of social justice.
We, being staunch proponents of the Right to Information Act and other freedom of information laws, have come up with a one-of-a-kind public initiative we call ‘Project RTI.’ The project is an initiative by the working group on litigation at YLF to assist and enable the public in exercising their Right to Information.

If you have identified any issues in the society that may need to be addressed through the mechanism of RTI or, in other words, if you need to obtain information from the Government regarding public matters, and are not sure how to proceed, just fill out the form below and tell us about the information you want to seek. Depending on your needs and the subject matter of the information, we may either help you file the applications yourself or undertake the matter and do it for you.
Either way, we are here to help and just a click away!
